Verse Popper Help - Beta 1

With a typical install, after you log into your PC, a verse will pop every half hour. You can "pause" the "popped verse" by hovering your mouse over the window. If you click on the verse a simple "Verse Browser Window" is displayed showing the chapter that the verse came from. This is useful if you are unsure of the context or simply want to read the parable etc.

Verse Popper Context Menu

Some basic menu items for the Verse Popper can be accessed by right clicking on the task bar icon.

This will give you access to the following items:

Summary:

  • About - some basic information about the verse popper
  • Options - provides access to the user options including popping intervals
  • Pop Last Verse - re-pops the last popped verse
  • Pop a Verse - pops a verse immediately (double clicking the taskbar icon will also start a pop)
  • Exit - closes the Verse Popper application

Verse Popper Options - Popped Verse

This option allows you to filter out old testament verses. By default, when you install the Verse Popper only new testament verses are displayed. This is mainly because the NT verses are more applicable to us now and sometimes the context of a random OT verse can be confusing!

Verse Popper Options - Pop Behaviour

This setting allows you to modify the number of minutes between pops. The default is 30 minutes, I like to use 10 or 15 but much quicker than that you may find yourself "switching off" from the pops.
